CC Holiday Gift Giving Guide 2018

It’s that time of year again. A joyous time filled with celebration, spending times with loved ones, eating delicious food and giving and receiving gifts.  Gift giving can be challenging but CC has some ideas for you.  Buying your gifts through consignment means not only supporting local business, but it also means re-using and recycling.  Your carbon footprint is greatly reduced by giving a gift that has less packaging and is not a new consumer product. Most importantly though, your gift will be unique and meaningful and sure to make your recipient smile and feel appreciated.

We have lots of beautiful jewellery for all price points at CC and lots of fabulous artwork of every subject matter and style and size you can think of.  We also have fabulous collectables and accessories.  Here’s just a few of the pieces we are crushing on for Holiday gift giving this year.

There’s nothing like setting a glamourous and elegant dining table or self-serve bar for your guests. We currently have two very special ice buckets in right now that can do double duty as wine holders, planters or used as vases filled with beautiful flowers.

Stag’s Head Ice Bucket $225

Stag’s Head Glass Ice Bucket $125

A piece of timeless and elegant crystal never goes out of style.  Fill this beautiful Waterford crystal bowl with flowers, candies, cookies, soaps, ornaments of whatever your heart desires to make a beautiful and meaningful gift at a fraction of the retail price.

Waterford Crystal ‘Balmoral’ Bowl $69.00

Pottery is a wonderful gift. We love how pottery is the end result of someone’s vision and creativity that is shaped from a lump of clay lovingly by hand and then hand-glazed and baked in a kiln to seal in all of that creativeness and vision. There’s something really esoteric about that.  Hand-thrown pottery is always one of a kind and unique; no two piece are alike. Fill this incredible Henley Pottery Vase with winter greens, reusable straws or home baked bread sticks for a very unique and practical gift.

Henley Pottery Glazed Vase $35

Jewellery is always a special gift.  We have an incredible collection of costume and fine jewellery at CC including this classic elegant freshwater pearl choker that would be perfect at work or for an evening out.

Freshwater Pearl Choker in Box $225

For the weekend brunch crawl enthusiast or for riding on the seawall in style, check out this vintage Raleigh ladies bike. This is a beautiful piece that is not only practical and in excellent condition but also adds interest to your interior design if thoughtfully hung or displayed in your home, office or cabin.

Vintage 60’s Raleigh Green Ladies Bicycle $495

If you have a friend who collects and love’s artwork like we do, check out our massive selection of original, prints and sculptures.  There are so many pieces to choose from on our website but so many more in store.  Vintage, antique and contemporary pieces. We love this contemporary original by JA Maclean. It’s bright, colourful and a very good painting that’s simply framed and timeless.

JA Maclean Original Vintage Abstract Painting $195

CC is known for our incredible selection of previously loved, high-end furniture from antique to modern and in between periods.  Has your friend or loved one been looking for the perfect coffee table for their Whistler Chalet? We have the answer right here.

Antique, Canadian Sleigh Coffee Table $1095

Last but not least we have a gift for your friend that is has everything and loves all things ultra contemporary but with history like these Bibendum armchairs by Eileen Gray and designed in the 30’s but extremely relevant and contemporary.

Pair of Bibendum Armchairs $3000/pair
